Grenoble can be easily reached by car, by plane, or by train:

By car: From Lyon, take highway A 43 and then A 48 towards Grenoble. It takes 50 minutes, and the toll is between 7 and 8 euros. When arriving in Grenoble, follow the signs "Grenoble Bastille" which will lead you downtown where the hotels are located.

By plane: The international airport is Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, served by all major airlines. From there, you can take a taxi to Grenoble (50 minutes, 80 euros) or a shuttle bus which departs every hour (65 minutes, 20 euros). The bus leaves you at the train station.

By train: The train station is located downtown and can be reached in three hours from Paris by TGV. See the SNCF web site.

Hotels

We ask that each participant handle his/her reservation. Here you can find a list of hotels (see the location map, where a block of rooms have been reserved for EMSOFT'02. While calling the hotels, you should identify yourself as being with the VERIMAG/EMSOFT group in order to receive the preferential rates for a single or double room. You should reserve before September 1st in order to maintain special rate. After this date the rooms may be not longer available and charged at regular room rates.
